Fireworks & Lasers in Houston, Texas, September 1997

This was the largest fireworks and laser show in North American history. Over 1 million people watched this part of an annual festival.

In the photo's far right, you can see the building where Wes used to work. On the buildings to the left you can make out some of the green lasers and blue lasers. For a sense of perspective, the building in the center is 75 stories tall.

Another cool thing from the weekend was "vertical dancing" by "Project Bandaloop" from California: They performed on the side of a tall building while being suspended over its side.

This is a color photo taken with a fish-eye lens. The picture shows Houston's beautiful skyline with fireworks being shot from the tops of downtown buildings.
